History

“Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation” Open Joint-Stock Company was established in 2005, and since then has been recognized for distinct achievements by contributing to the development of Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector and creating new standards in construction industry.

In 2015 year Akkord Corporation is proudly celebrating its 10th year anniversary.

We can proudly say that being one of the leaders in the South Caucasus, the Corporation has attained high-level achievements in construction of residential and non-residential buildings, infrastructure projects as well as production of construction materials in a short period of time.

Akkord Corporation completed the first concrete road project (Baku-Russian Federation Border Highway) in Azerbaijan

Fist time won a contract outside Azerbaijan; Established offices in Georgia and Kazakhstan

Undertook construction of a military facility in Afghanistan

Entered market of Uzbekistan and Ukraine; Started new business area of water and sewerage construction; Completed number of projects in Georgia

Entered market of Turkey; Completed large-scale projects with partners in Ukraine

Expanding its scope of activities, the Corporation has begun construction of the 37 km state-owned concrete road Shymkent-Tashkent, financed by the Asian Development Bank, in the Republic of Kazakhstan, far from the borders of the Republic. Experienced specialists were involved in the construction of the project, which was successfully completed ahead of schedule.

Akkord Corporation in a consortium with SICIM S.p.A.(Italy) and Yuksel Inshaat A.Ş. (Turkey) participated in the tender announced for the construction of TANAP and TAP energy projects to deliver natural gas to be produced from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz-2 gas field to Europe via Turkey and Akkord Corporation was among the winners according to the results declared by “TANAP Doghalgaz Iletim A.Ş”

Akkord Corporation has successfully completed micro tunnelling project near Olympic Stadium. By virtue of the planned structural changes conducted within the Corporation, 15 subsidiaries (LLC) were established in different production areas. New manufacturing trends on fiber concrete, claddings, plastic doors and windows were applied. Based on state-of-the-art technologies newly reconstructed Steel Structures Plant was put into operation in Khirdalan

In addition to its domestic projects in the field of water and sewerage, Akkord has transferred its experience to the Republic of Turkey and implemented the construction of a sewerage network and collector lines in the city of Mardin with the financial support of the European Union.

The company took an active part in the tender process outside the country. As a result, the water supply project of Chiatura city of the Republic of Georgia was launched and successful cooperation was established with customers.

Corporation Expansion of Ganja-Gazakh-Georgia border road into 4 lanes, Lot3: Kirli-Georgia border section, km 82 + 200-km 130 + 150, 48 km ”and“ Reconstruction of water supply and sewerage system of Gazakh city ”financed by international banks of state importance ”Project has been launched. In addition, the project on construction of water and sewerage systems of Jalilabad city, consisting of 4 lots, was successfully completed and put into operation.

Completed and commissioned the 100 km long 4-lane road in the Republic of Uzbekistan, sponsored by the Islamic Development Bank. Along with this project, the restoration and reconstruction of existing canals and facilities in the Andijan region have begun.

The corporation won the tender on "Implementation of reclamation measures on winter pastures in Sabirabad and Salyan districts" (Sabirabad district, stage II) implemented at the expense of the local budget and launched the project.
