January 20, 1990, entered the history of Azerbaijan as one of the most tragic days, as well as a heroic page of our people. It has been 32 years since the bloody events of January. On the night of January 19-20, 1990, the military units of the former Soviet army committed a massacre in the city of Baku against the civilian population, which embarked on the path of creating an independent state and gaining its own sovereignty. This bloody crime could not extinguish people's love for freedom, and our people achieved state independence at the cost of their blood. This crime committed thirty-two years ago against the people of Azerbaijan, is in fact a terrible act of terrorism committed against humanity, humanism, humanity.

The tragedy of January 20, which has become a symbol of national unity and patriotism, is a glorious story of the struggle of our people for their sovereignty. Every year, on the anniversary of the tragedy, millions of people visit the Alley of Martyrs, which is located on the highest point of the capital, to honor the memory of their heroes.

On January 20, 2022, employees of the Akkord Group of Companies visited the Alley of Martyrs in connection with the bloody memory of our history "January 20 - Day of National Sorrow", laying flowers at the graves of martyrs who gave their lives for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of our Motherland, and honored their dear memory with a minute of silence.
