Description of the project

Akkord-Todini-Impregilo “Azerbaijan-Italy Joint Venture won the tender announced in late 2013 within the framework of the CAREC III corridor construction project“ Shymkent-Tashkent ”(Shymkent-Tashkent) road in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project was funded by the Asian Development Bank. Relevant contract on “Reconstruction project of km704 - km742 (total 37.5 km) section of Almaty-Korday-Blagoveshenka-Merke-Tashkent-Termez road” was signed between the Joint Venture and the Committee for Motor Roads of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In general, the total width of the 4-lane road under the project is 27.5 m, and the width of the two-lane road is 11 m. The project road is designed to travel at a speed of 150 km / h.

The thickness of the pavement on the concrete road is 27 cm. 1 crossing, 3 animal crossings, 37 units 1.5 meter diameter, 54 units 0.5 m diameter water pipes, 6 bus stops, 4 roadside parking lots, 9 power lines were renewed on the road. Along with road construction, dismantling and reconstruction works have already been carried out at 6 points where 440-meter water transmission lines, 7,700-meter-long fiber-optic communication lines and high-voltage power lines intersect, the construction of bridges, pipes and animal crossings for 1 overpass and 4 agricultural machinery has been completed.
