The Ministry of Transport has held another tender in Baku for traffic regulation and road infrastructure improvement projects. Akkord Group of Companies won the tender for this project, which envisages traffic regulation, elimination of traffic jams and traffic without traffic lights on the Galaba Square around the Ganjlik metro station and the roads crossing it.

According to the public relations department of Akkord Group of Companies, the new project envisages the construction of 5 tunnels and a three-storey underground car park in the area, as well as the expansion of related roads. According to the project, the entrance to the metro station "Ganjlik" on Ataturk Avenue will be relocated to the center of "Galaba Square". This issue has already been agreed with the leadership of the Baku Metro.
Work on the project will begin in April this year. According to the plan, by Akkord Group of Companies will first replace many existing communication lines in the area.
In order not to completely restrict traffic in the area, 2 tunnels will be built in the area under the project. After that, the construction of tunnels 3, 4 and 5 will be carried out. Landscaping works are also planned in the area. The company's team of specialists, about 200 employees and about 40 vehicles have already been mobilized to carry out work in the area. Currently, covering works are being carried out at the construction site.
